East Coast Eagles Retained top spot on the competition ladder when they put on an awesome performance to defeat Pennant Hills Demons on Saturday night at Bruce Purser Reserve.
The Eagles defeated Pennant Hills 15.15 (105) to 7.6 (48) in Round 8 in their Sydney AFL Competition.
The Teams competed in the :”Back to Baulko” match in which they battled for the Warren “Pop” Quintrell Shield. East Coast Dominated from the first bounce as their skills in the wet conditions were everything coach Glenn Garner could have ask of his players.
Damien Bowles was the leading man in a chorus of players where each and every individual had a job to do and did it to perfection. Bowles won the Players Player vote and also took the selector’s nod as “best on”
Daniel Spiteri put in his best performance of the year.
Steve O’Connor made three goals and excelled with great work rate around the ground. The Eagles Travel to Wollongong to play the Wolves on Saturday.
