Dear Members, Players, and Supporters,
With our pre-Christmas training now completed and the holidays now upon us, I would like to take a moment to share a few important updates before we break for the festive season.
On behalf of the club, I would like to sincerely thank all members of the previous committee for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to the club—not just over the past year, but throughout their entire time serving our great Pennant Hills Football Club. The personal time that all our volunteers, be they coaches, team managers, game day volunteers – set up and pack up, BBQ, canteen, functions, is nothing short of amazing, the effort contributed by all our volunteers in all areas of the club, is second to none.
All duties, from running our game days to Committee roles are performed on a voluntary basis, this commitment is a key reason as to the success and is why our club is held in such high regard by other clubs and within AFL Sydney. We are always in need of additional help, if you are interested in contributing in any way for the 2026 season whether that be fulfilling a committee role or assisting with the running game day, please don’t hesitate to contact the club, we would certainly love to hear from you.
I would like to thank all our club Sponsors for their continued support. Without the continual financial support by our club Sponsors, the club would not be able to provide the support to our playing group each year. Your support is invaluable and greatly appreciated by all associated with the club. Another important aspect is the continued support for the club received from our Club Members and long standing Life Members, these people are the backbone of clubs and Pennant Hills Demons recognises the contribution they make each season.
As many of you may be aware, the upcoming 2026 season will be the final season played under the current competition structure. The 2027 season is planned to be the inaugural year of the Sydney Football League (SFL). More information regarding the proposed new Competition will be released by AFL Sydney early in the New Year and we will continue to keep members informed as we progress through this process.
In addition, the club is currently working on several new initiatives, including programs in leadership, player development, and strength and conditioning. We are hopeful to make further announcements in the new year.
Finally, on behalf of the club, I would like to wish all Players, Members, Sponsors, and the Penno Faithful a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy the break with your family and friends, we look forward to seeing everyone back in mid-January as we begin preparations for the 2026 season.
Best wishes & kind regards
Stewart Woodward
President 2026
