Women’s U20s Sydney Football League Team
The Pennant Hills Demons Women’s Under 20s Program provides a dedicated pathway for young women transitioning from junior football into senior Australian Rules Football. Designed for players aged approximately 17–20, the program offers the opportunity to compete in the Sydney Football League (SFL), develop their skills and confidence, and prepare for Open Age football.
Whether you’re graduating from junior football, looking for a new challenge or returning to the game, the Demons U20s offer a place to develop, compete and belong.
We recognise that the transition from junior to senior football can be challenging. Study, work, changing commitments and the step into Open Age competition can make it difficult for young women to stay involved. Our U20s Program helps bridge that gap. Through dedicated coaching, structured development and a supportive team environment, players can continue improving their football while competing alongside others at a similar stage of their journey. Our ambition is to develop confident, capable footballers who enjoy their football, support their teammates and are prepared for the opportunities ahead.
Competing in the Sydney Football League
Pennant Hills holds a Women’s U20s licence in the Sydney Football League, providing emerging players with the opportunity to compete in a structured, development-focused competition. Our inaugural U20s team took the field in 2026 and progressed to the second round of the finals series in its very first season. That inaugural group, The Originals, established the foundations for a new generation of Women’s Football at Pennant Hills.

A Pathway to Senior Women’s Football
The U20s are an important part of the broader Pennant Hills Women’s Football Program, connecting junior football with Open Age competition. Players have opportunities to develop towards Women’s Premier Division and divisional football, with pathways that recognise their individual aspirations, capabilities and readiness. For some, that means pursuing football at the highest level possible. For others, it’s about continuing to play, developing their skills and enjoying the game with their mates. Both ambitions matter.
Connected to Our Northwest Football Community
Our commitment to developing homegrown football talent begins with strong connections between schools, junior clubs and senior football across Sydney’s North and Northwest. We encourage girls who discover football through school to join their local junior club, while supporting existing junior players to participate in school and representative football. Together, these connections help more young women discover the game, remain involved and continue their football journey beyond their junior years.

Built, Not Bought.
We believe sustainable success comes from investing in players, creating opportunities and building a football community where young women want to belong. Our approach is grounded in three principles: CLUB. TEAM. SELF. We value commitment, respect, development and the contribution every player makes, both on and off the field.
Training, Player Support & Club Operations
Pennant Hills provides a structured football environment supported by coaching, player development and access to club physiotherapy and medical services. Players are expected to demonstrate commitment to training, preparation, communication and their teammates. In return, our coaches are committed to providing a supportive, respectful environment that encourages development and fair selection. Detailed information about training arrangements, physiotherapy, player wellbeing, team selection, match-day expectations and club policies is available on our central Football Program page.
