This weekend Harry Rivers plays his 100th open-age game for the Demons. Season 2023 is Harry’s 11th season with the Pennant HillsDemons.

After ten years without an underage premiership and some solid finals showings, we managed to keep a great group of young men on the park for long enough to win the 2013 flag by 3 points. To celebrate the 2013 season, we are having a 10-year reunion.

What a season 2013 was for Penno. After several years with only a senior men’s and reserves team President Peter Campbell pushed forward with the reintroduction of a ‘thirds” team. To celebrate the 2013 season, we are having a 10-year reunion.

This weekend the Club acknowledges a significant milestone by one of the Club’s most respected players, Eleanor Rugg. Eleanor, Elly, or “Ruggy”, as she is universally known, is the first Penno women’s player to reach her 100 game milestone.

Kieren Briggs tried a bit of everything. Rugby league, rugby union, soccer and athletics. Then, as a 12-year-old in Sydney’s northwest, he found the freedom of Aussie rules. And, as they say, the rest is history.

Brianna is a prolific goalkicker with over 80 career goals, recently playing her 50th game for the Demons.

Our clubrooms have won the Ken Gannon Award for NSW/ACT’s Metro Project of the Year, with members of our committee accepting the award from Federal Member for Berowra, Julian Leeser MP.

Kieron ‘Kiz’ Coaldrake has played most of his footy in the Reserves as the team’s No 1 ruckman and will play his 100th game in Round 3 of the 2022 season.

Brett 'Bomber' Thompson will play his 100th game in Round 3, playing a mix of reserves and third-grade games during his career, generally in the forward half.

On Presentation Day 2020, the Pennant Hills footy club paid tribute to one of the Club’s best players over the past decade or so. After struggling once again with injury, Matt had to make the difficult decision that 2020, the year of the pandemic, would be his last and he announced his intention to hang up his boots.

Due to the limited training space and the number of teams we have this year, we will be staggering training start times and usage of the available field space.

Tomorrow night, Friday 15th Jan, Todd Williams, the U19 Coach for 2021 (and head of Football at Pennant Hills Senior AFL Club) will be having an info session for all U19 players (returning or new to the club) for the 2021 season.

Frog will play his 100th open-age game in this weekend’s Division Three Grand Final against Wollondilly Knights at Blacktown ISP on Saturday, 10 September 2016.

This week the Club marks, not only the occasion of its first Division Five Grand Final, but also a significant milestone for a popular club personality, Evan Danilo.

Two unassuming, but nonetheless popular players, will achieve their 100 game milestones playing for the Division Three side in this weekend’s 2nd Semi Final against Wollondilly Knights at Henson Park on Sunday, 28 August 2016.

On Saturday, 30 July 2016 we celebrate Sebastian “Seb” Parker’s 200th open-age club game with the Pennant Hills Demons. 2016 is Seb’s 17th season playing with the Senior Club. Although he technically played his 200th in his last game a fortnight ago against UTS Bats, the occasion of the Club’s annual “Back to the Ern Day”, is a fitting time and venue to acknowledge this significant achievement.

This weekend, Round 15, the Club returns to its traditional home, Ern Holmes Oval (aka Pennant Hills No 2) in the annual Back to the Ern and Past Players Day which will feature four blockbuster matches and the chance for past players to catch up and watch some great local football while enjoying some social conviviality. The Committee of the Pennant Hills AFC is pleased to Welcome all past players, friends and relatives and trust that you enjoy the day, the football and the good company.

This weekend we celebrate Luke ‘Booker’ Turner’s 100th open-age club game with the Pennant Hills Demons. 2016 is Luke’s 11th season playing with the Senior Club. He will play his 100th game on 16 July 2016 in the Round 14 Division One match against UTS Bats at Waverley Oval. A Premier Division player in 2009, Luke has, however, played most of his footy with the Division One side where he has been a consistent performer in what he describes as a “fairly disjointed footy career.” For Luke, footy is not his only sporting passion but has had to compete over the years with his love for Ultimate Frisbee, which has taken him all around the world. He is a popular player and personality, something of a free spirit, and is universally known around the Club as ‘Booker Turner’, ‘Booker T’ or simply ‘Booker’

This weekend we celebrate Tim Wales’s 100th open-age club game with the Pennant Hills Demons. 2016 is Tim’s 9th season playing with the Senior Club. He will play his 100th game on 2 July 2016 in the Round 12 Premier Division match against Western Suburbs Magpies at Mike Kenny Oval.

This week Premier Division plays Western Suburbs Magpies. The Demons have a good recent record against the Magpies, not having lost to them since Round 15 in 2010.

Joining Pennant Hills just a couple of weeks before the season started, Laara Lewis has quickly made a spot for herself on the half back line of the Demons.

This weekend, Round 9, represents the halfway mark of the season and the Club is hosting four home games at MKO while our undefeated Division Three and Five teams both play away.

Calling all fans of the Pennant Hills Demons AFL Club, This Sunday, the 27th of September, is AFL Sydney Grand Final day. It's going to be a massive day for the Demons as we have two sides competing for Premiership flags.

Last weekend we had two teams competing in preliminary finals … Premier Division and Under 19 Division 1; both playing for the opportunity to advance to Grand Finals.

If you were to ask some around the Club what they thought of Brant Jack, you’d likely get some embarrassed, confused looks … oh, what you mean Kieren Jack? … Brandon Jack? … Huh? But, if you ask about “Smakco” then you’ll see their eyes light up and a smile of recognition cross their face, because Brant “Smakco” Jack is one of the Demon’s iconic characters.

Pennant Hills Lukas De Vries has won the Kealy Medal as the best Under 19’s footballer in Sydney after an exciting count at Monday night’s Phelan Medal awards dinner.

This weekend we celebrate Ben “Magic” Miles 150th open-age club game with the Pennant Hills Demons. Ben is the middle son of former Demons premiership player, Rod Miles, who played with the Club during the 1970s and ‘80s. Rod held the record for most games played at the Club for many years until 2003 and his tally of 233 still ranks him in the top five. Rod was inducted into the Sydney AFL Hall of Fame in 2005.

This weekend we celebrate Anthony Brawn’s 300th open-age club game with the Pennant Hills Australian Football Club. In Saturday’s Round 18 Reserve Grade match against competition front-runner Balmain Tigers, Brawny will become the Club’s third member of the Demons 300 Club … a stunning testament to his passion for Australian Rules Football, his physical resilience, longevity and his unflinching devotion to the Pennant Hills Demons.

This weekend we celebrate Luke Bilbe’s 200th open-age club game with the Pennant Hills Demons. Although the milestone was technically reached in the Round 15 match against St George at Olds Park, we take the opportunity on Saturday to mark the occasion at the Demon’s home ground Mike Kenny Oval.

Round 18 saw the Demons go 3 from 5, it was a big day for full-forwards with stellar showings from Matt Preen (6 Goals) and Luke Bible (4 Goals). Demons fans, enjoy reading about round 18 through the well tuned eyes of John Acheson.

In preparation for Anthony Brawn's impending 300th game against Balmain in the final round, club legend Gus McKernan casts his mind back to 1992, the year when Brawny debuted, to relive some red and blue history. Enjoy Demons fans!

For the first time the Demons history we fielded 6 teams in Round 1 of the Sydney AFL. Remarkably, by 9.50pm Saturday night, the Club had completed a clean-sweep … winning all of the 6 starts. Off-field the day was also a raging success with the 2 games at once on the top and lower grounds at MKO working better than expected - Thanks to everyone who helped to make this a most memorable start to the 2015 footy season. Unfortunately 30 seconds into the game one of our young stars Reagan Pinker had a bad break of fibula needing 8 screws needed to be inserted. Reg's amazed those around him making jokes and smiling while we waited for on the ground for nearly an hour for the ambulance to arrive. Amazing courage! It would be great to see a big crowd of support travel to Manly to support the boys.

Round 1 sees 5 teams at home with us playing St George in Prems (6.30pm), St George in Div 1 (4.30pm), Balmain in Div 3 (2.30pm) on MKO 1 and on the lower ground we play St George in Under 19 Div 1 (2.30pm) and Southern Power in Under 19 Div 2 at 4.30pm. The 2014 Pennant Hills Presentation night was again a night of celebration, fun and friendship – all the things that make Penno such a great club. As has been the tradition in recent years the Presentation night was held at the Epping Club with the after party progressing through the night at the Pinker home.

Pennant Hills midfielder, Alex Goodall has claimed the highest individual honour in AFL Sydney- the Phelan Medal- at a gala ceremony last night.

This Saturday against North Shore will see Co-captain Matthew Carey playing his 150th senior game for the Pennant Hills Demons. Matthew first played with East Gambier Bulldogs and after transferring to Sydney played with Westbrook Juniors and represented North West several times during his junior career.

Pennant Hills Senior player Stephen Wray was selected in the Swans NEAFL team for their Game against the NT. Stephen had another great game and was captured on the back page of the Darwin paper delivering an excellent tackle. Well done Stephen we look to seeing you back in the Red and the Blue.

This Saturday against St George will see key defender Lloyd Shepherd playing his 100th senior game for the Pennant Hills Demons.

The squad will head into camp from March 21st – 23rd, concluding with a practice match versus Murray Bushrangers. Congratulations Boys!

There was just a kick-and-a-bit standing between the Pennant Hills Demons and the 2013 premiership cup at the end of last season. With this agonizing eight point loss sitting at the back of their minds, it is no wonder that they have thrown themselves full pelt into season 2014.
