Round Seventeen Women’s Rising Star Nominee, Scarlett Sheridan
Player Profile:
Name: Scarlett Sheridan
Nickname: Scar
Position: Midfield/Defence
Junior Club: Terrigal Avoca Panthers
AFL Sydney Club: Pennant Hills Demons
What is one thing we don’t know about this Rising Star that they are well known for around the club?
Her Mum drives her down from Terrigal 3 times a week to train and play seniors in our Premier division team. Always keen to be part of team meetings and education sessions to grow her footy IQ and become a stronger footballer.
What role do they play for the club both on and off the field?
She is one of our Young Hero’s. One of our 16 year olds who are working hard to be the strongest and toughest players in the league. Is well on her way with the huge growth she has shown this year.
Reason for nomination this round:
Dominated the midfield with defensive pressure, and winning the clearances. Had more contested possessions than anyone player in the opposition which is incredible for someone so young.
Coach quote on Performance:
“She just gets stronger every week. Takes on the feedback, works hard at training and takes to the game like she has played seniors for years”.
– Lisa Roper (Pennant Hills Demons – Women’s Premier Division Coach)
