In Round 12 this weekend, Daniel ‘Fids’ Fiedler will coach his 100th game as coach of the women’s first grade side.
Fids joined Penno in 2011 and played 35 games in the Under 18s and between 2012 & 2015 he played 41 open-age games in the Reserves and Division One.
In what turned out to be his last season as a player, Fids suffered a life threatening illness and after his recovery the doctors barred him from engaging in further contact sport.
In 2016 his luck changed. The formation of the club’s first women’s team presented him with the opportunity to continue his involvement with the Demons, taking on the women’s coaching role.
Season 2022 is his 7th year as coach of the women’s program at the Demons and his 3rd season as senior coach of Women’s Premier Division.
The club acknowledges Fid’s significant contribution to the development of women’s footy at Pennant Hills and congratulates him on coaching his 100th game this weekend.
